No English dictionary adequately explains the difference between Complete and Finished
At a linguistics competition recently held in London attended by one of the best linguists in the world this problem was solved by Guyanese man
A clear winner he received a standing ovation that lasted over 5 minutes.for his answer on the final question....
How do you explain the difference between COMPLETE and FINISHED in a way that is easy to understand?
His answer ....
When you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETE.
When you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED.
And when the right one catches you with the wrong one, you're COMPLTELY FINISHED.
